I’m a self-taught, Adelaide-based oil painter. Painting has been a part of my life for more than 17 years. My love of the Australian landscape began very early, I spent most of my childhood travelling around Australia, exploring nature and often sketching the landscapes and people I encountered. These experiences still influence the way I paint today.

I started out with a strong focus on realism but over time I’ve become more interested in loosening up my brushwork and slowly refining layer by layer.

The ocean continues to be a constant source of inspiration for me because it’s never quite the same. I’m fascinated by the way light changes water and landscapes and make even a familiar scene feel completely different one day to the next.

I continue to experiment and develop my practice through creating bodies of work, commissions and collaborative projects.
